The City of Dorval will hold a household hazardous waste (HHW) and information and communications technologies (ICT) waste pickup on Saturday, August 22, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the parking lot of Ballantyne Park located on 520 Bouchard Boulevard.
Residents are invited to bring any hazardous waste and to take advantage of this opportunity to safely get rid of products such as oven cleaners, disinfectants, aerosols, oil or latex paint leftovers, varnishes, rust inhibitors, strippers, oils, thinners, solvents, acids, gasoline, fuel, antifreeze, brake fluid, motor oil, weed killers, insecticides, fungicides, rat poison, pool maintenance products, full or empty propane gas tanks, etc.
Never mix or pour HHW into other containers as it may cause dangerous chemical reactions or prevent the HHW from being recycled or reused. Remember that empty hazardous waste containers are not accepted and should be disposed of with the regular garbage pickup. Only domestic waste will be accepted at the collection. HHW from industries and businesses will be refused.
Dorval residents will also be able to drop off any ICT waste at the same location. Residus will be collected by ARPE-Québec, a non-profit organization recognized by RECYC-QUÉBEC and in charge of Quebec’s recovery and reclamation of electronic products program.
