Donna Kelce is set to make her mark on the entertainment world with cameos in two upcoming Hallmark Christmas movies that, fittingly, have football themes.
Staying true to her balanced approach as a mother of two football stars, she won’t be showing favoritism toward her sons—Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and newly retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” centers around a “fan of the year” contest for the Chiefs, while “Christmas on Call” tells the story of an avid Eagles fan helping his love interest get to know Philadelphia, according to a Hallmark Channel release this week.
Though Mama Kelce is no stranger to the camera—having appeared in Jason Kelce’s documentary and countless gameday photos—the two Hallmark movies mark her acting debut. In “Holiday Touchdown,” she takes on the role of a barbecue restaurant manager. It remains unclear whether she plays a character or herself in “Christmas on Call,” but her role there includes guiding one of the leads to order her Cheesesteak the authentic way—”whiz wit.”
Travis Kelce has also made his presence felt in Hollywood, having hosted “Saturday Night Live” in early 2023. His high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift further catapulted him into the spotlight, leading to roles in Ryan Murphy’s “Grotesquerie” and as host of “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” This year, he also earned his first producer credit.
Jason Kelce, on the other hand, has embarked on a career as an ESPN analyst. Additionally, he’s lending his musical talents to his mom’s movie “Christmas on Call,” which will feature “Santa Drives an Astrovan” by The Philly Specials—comprised of Jason Kelce, Eagles players Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson, and featuring Mt. Joy. Proceeds from the song, part of an upcoming album, will benefit the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
