The Police have been searching actively for suspects armed with dangerous weapons after a break-in in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Davignon Street, in the early hours of Saturday.

After several hours of an all-out search, the Police arrested two armed males on the same day in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.

In the wee hours of the morning – 7 a.m. to be precise – the suspects broke into the apartment on Davignon Street close to Norgrove Street. The Police received a 911 call, which alerted them to the break-in, and they immediately swung into action. They were able to apprehend a man that was yet to leave the premises, thanks to their rapid response.

Jean-Pierre Brabant, a Montreal police Constable, had this to say:

“A perimeter was erected around the street, but police are still searching for other people who could be armed.”

The special weapons and tactical team of the force were called upon to offer reinforcements. Also, about twenty residents had to leave their houses as the Police took time to ensure the entire area was safe to stay and rid of the burglars.

In no time, the Police could apprehend the second suspect around 11 a.m. As luck would have it, no one sustained any form of injury, and the entire area is safe to live again.
