In a heartfelt message to his residents, DDO Mayor, Alex Bottausci postponed the second tax payment due to the spread of COVID-19.
“I am reaching out to the community of Dollard-des-Ormeaux at this very challenging time to reassure you that the City is constantly monitoring the current situation and continues to take measures to contain the spread of COVID-19, as stated by the government and health authorities. In addition to the health challenges, there are financial ones.
Given the exceptional circumstances related to a health emergency declared on March 13 in Quebec, the deadline for the second instalment of property taxes has been postponed from May 28 to June 29, 2020. By taking this measure the City of Dollard-des-Oremaux aims to reduce the financial burden on its residents during this difficult period.
I thank you all for your collaboration in slowing down the progression of this virus and ensuring the safety of our greater community.”
