Hobby farmer in the environs of Lytton thought all the animals on the farm had perished in the Lytton fire but was relieved to learn that some of them had made it through.
The farmer, Tricia Thorpe, had a dozen animals on her farm before the fire, however, the fire moving wildfire struck on Wednesday preventing her from saving them.
but, last Saturday, she was informed that three fire crew found her dog and seven puppies. The fire crew put up a picture of themselves caring for the puppies and their mother.
