Dave Grohl recently revealed that he has fathered a daughter outside his 21-year marriage to Jordyn Blum. Grohl shared the news in an Instagram post on Tuesday, stating, “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.” He expressed his commitment to his family, saying, “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
The 55-year-old musician did not provide further details about the baby or her mother, and his representatives declined to comment beyond the social media post.
Grohl and Blum, a former model who transitioned into a film and television producer, married in 2003. The couple has three daughters, including 18-year-old singer Violet Grohl, along with a 15-year-old and a 10-year-old.
Grohl was previously married to photographer Jennifer Leigh Youngblood from 1994 until 1997. He has acknowledged that infidelity contributed to the dissolution of that marriage.
After the death of Kurt Cobain ended Nirvana in 1994, Grohl founded the Foo Fighters. In 2022, the band faced a devastating loss when their longtime drummer and Grohl’s close friend, Taylor Hawkins, passed away during a tour in South America.
