Stephen Curry has signed a one-year extension with the Golden State Warriors for the 2026-27 season, securing nearly $63 million for that period. The team announced the signing on Thursday, cementing Curry’s commitment to the Warriors. ESPN initially reported the agreement, which was later confirmed by Curry’s agent, Jeff Austin of Octagon.
With this extension, Curry is now guaranteed approximately $178 million over the next three seasons. He will earn about $55.8 million for this season, around $59.6 million for the 2025-26 season, and approximately $62.6 million for the 2026-27 season—the maximum amount the Warriors could offer under league rules. By the end of the 2026-27 season, Curry’s on-court earnings will have reached about $532 million, ranking second in NBA history behind LeBron James’ $580 million in player contracts.
Entering his 16th NBA season, all with the Warriors, the 36-year-old Curry boasts an illustrious career. He is a 10-time All-Star and 10-time All-NBA selection, contributing to four championship titles with Golden State and earning two MVP awards. This summer, Curry added an Olympic gold medal to his accolades, delivering a spectacular fourth-quarter performance that helped the U.S. team secure victory against France at the Paris Games.
Last season, Curry averaged 26.4 points for the Warriors and has a career regular-season average of 24.8 points.
