Jason Aldean is set to be the next country music star to open a restaurant in Las Vegas. Contrary to previous reports by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, it will not be Morgan Wallen embarking on this venture. Instead, Aldean’s new establishment, Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, will soon debut in the bustling city.

The restaurant will take up 10,000 square feet on the second and third floors of 63 Las Vegas, with Ocean Prime steak and seafood situated above it. Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar already has locations in Nashville, Pittsburgh, and Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Las Vegas is poised to be its latest addition.

According to Clark County records, only building permit applications for a “Vegas Country Music Restaurant” at 3716 Las Vegas Blvd. South, the address for 63 Las Vegas, have been filed. The construction of this new eatery is valued at approximately $10 million.

This new venue will be a direct competitor to Blake Shelton’s Ole Red, which has been enjoying significant success since it opened in January outside the Horseshoe. Aldean’s connection to Las Vegas is notably strong but tinged with tragedy. He was performing on stage at the Route 91 Harvest music festival on October 1, 2017, when the horrific shooting rampage by Stephen Paddock took place, resulting in 60 innocent lives lost.

In other news, Angie’s Lobster has brought affordable lobster rolls to Las Vegas since its opening on August 2. The Arizona-based chain offers $9.99 rolls filled with a quarter pound of Maine lobster each. The founders, Tony and Roushan Christofellis, also own a wharf on Bailey Island, Maine, where they directly source the lobster, process it in their own plant, and handle distribution through their own logistics—enabling them to offer such competitive pricing.

Angie’s Lobster is located at 4835 Blue Diamond Road and is named in honor of Tony’s late mother, who founded Angela’s Seafood in Boston.

Additionally, there are several updates in the Las Vegas dining scene. Afters Ice Cream has closed its location at Virgin Las Vegas, with no information yet about a replacement. Break, a coffee shop located on the Fontainebleau’s second-floor Promenade, closed permanently on July 28, though future plans for the space remain undisclosed. Meanwhile, Chinatown has expanded its diverse offerings with the addition of Soup-erb Wagyu Hot Pot & Grill, located a mile west of the Las Vegas Strip.

In a heartfelt move, Lauren and Jason Taylor, owners of Nevada Brew Works in the Arts District, have introduced a new craft beer named “Number 9 Ariana Rye” in memory of their late daughter Ariana, who passed away at the age of 7 due to complications related to cerebral palsy.
