Coinsquare, a cryptocurrency trading platform based in Toronto, has appointed a new CEO. Martin Piszel, a former Tradelogig executive, is replacing Stacey Hoisak as the New President and Chief Legal Officer. Piszel will also join Coinsquare’s Board of Directors.
Piszel has over 25 years of experience working in capital markets and electronic trading sectors. Piszel recently served as Head of Corporate Development at Tradelogig Markets Inc. Piszel was also the director of CIBC World Markets. He also served as the Vice President of Alpha ATS, which he co-founded. He has also served as Sales and Marketing director with E-Trade Canada.
In a statement following Piszel’s appointment, Jason Theofilos, Coinsquare Chair of Board acknowledged his transformational leadership in ensuring the digital assets enter the new phase of growth. Theofilos also acknowledged Piszel’s experience in the regulated market and electronic trading space, which will boost Coinsquare to further innovation and growth.
Piszel also expressed his eagerness to help accelerate Coinsquare’s growth in the regulated market. Piszel also wants to strengthen its position as Canada’s most trusted digital exchange.
