Bad news for boaters as Parks Canada recently announced on August 6, the suspension of the lockage operations along the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Canal.
Due to the risk of breakage of the upper hinge of one of the lock gates, they must suspend operations for an indefinite period of time.
Parks Canada notes that their team is making every effort to find a solution to be able to reopen the lock as soon as possible. They apologize for the inconvenience and note that more details will follow soon.
