Clean the World is an organization that collects discarded soap bars and plastic toiletry bottles from hotels around the world. They transform these used hygiene products into fresh bars of soap.

“Clean the World has distributed more than 53 million bars of soap to over 127 countries.”

Hotels that participate in the program receive bins to start collecting the discarded soap and plastic bottles from their rooms. They are then shipped off to one of Clean the World’s international offices, including right here in Pointe-Claire. Once received, the soap is broken-down and disinfected to create a brand-new solid bar of soap.

Clean the World donates their soap to vulnerable communities around the world intending to improve the quality of life for those affected by poverty, homelessness, and humanitarian or natural crisis.

Facts:

Their impact is enormous with having served over 10,000,000 people in over 127 countries. They are partnered with over 8000 hotels worldwide and operate facilities in Orlando, Las Vegas, Punta Cana, Hong Kong, Amsterdam and Montreal. Over 20 million lbs of soap waste has been diverted and over 53 million bars of recycled soap donated worldwide.

With the current situation we are dealing with today, it makes keeping our hands clean more important than ever. Clean the World is proud to provide soap to populations that would not have access to it without them.
