If you’re looking for a novel way to mark Earth Day next week, the IGA in Saint-Rose is where you want to be.
While not exactly on April 22 Earth Day itself, you can participate in a significant effort to help yourself and the planet by attending a free workshop on reducing food waste!
#Àvosfrigos is being offered on Thursday, April 25 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at IGA Quintal (380 Labelle Blvd.).
On the menu: tastings, tips and tricks to reduce your food waste, an increasing concern and priority among families, budget minded households, health conscious consumers, and food security advocates. The session is offered in French only, and registration is open on the Earth Day website at https://www.jourdelaterre.org/qc/tous-les-jours/programmes/a-vos-frigos/inscriptions-aux-ateliers/?atelier=AVF695
(Note that the workshop does not have necessary infrastructure to accommodate people with reduced mobility.)
