Cheap Trick, the iconic ’70s rock band known for their hit cover of Elvis Presley’s “Don’t Be Cruel” in 1988, is set to make a highly anticipated return to the King’s former stage at the Westgate. On February 8, the band will perform at the International Theater for only the second time since their initial show in 2009, back when it was still named the Las Vegas Hilton Theater. The band lineup includes bassist Tom Petersson, guitarist Rick Nielsen, vocalist Robin Zander, and drummer Daxx Nielsen, Rick’s son, who took over for Bun E. Carlos in 2010. Tickets for this much-awaited return will be available for purchase at 10 a.m. PT on Friday, November 15, through Ticketmaster.com.

Meanwhile, the B-52s continue to ride the wave of their “Farewell Tour” by extending their “LOVESHACK” residency at the Venetian. Cindy Wilson, Fred Schneider, and Kate Pierson, posing recently in front of the LOVE sculpture at the Venetian, have planned new dates for 2025. Having started their residency in May 2023, the new wave trio will conclude their 2024 performance series at the Venetian Theatre on November 13. They will then head to their hometown of Athens, Georgia, for a show on December 14 before returning to the Venetian for at least five more performances on April 11, 12, 16, 18, and 19. Tickets for these added dates will go on sale at 10 a.m. PT on Friday, November 15, via Ticketmaster, with a Live Nation pre-sale already underway—access code BEATS.

Duran Duran, the enduring ’80s band, has also ramped up their Las Vegas performance schedule. Initially set to play at the newly opened Fontainebleau’s BleauLive Theater on December 30, also known as New Year’s Eve Eve, the band has now added a second show on December 29, humorously dubbed New Year’s Eve Eve Eve. Fedor Banuchi, Fontainebleau’s Senior Vice President of Entertainment, expressed the venue’s excitement in a statement: “Duran Duran is more than a hit-making powerhouse, they are an iconic household name that always brings the energy for an incredible show. We are thrilled to close out the year with them.” Fans can secure tickets for this added performance starting at 10 a.m. PT on Friday, November 15.
