The first poinsettias have arrived at the Centre Jardin Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac marking the beginning of the weeklong delivery and pick-up of the 2016 poinsettias campaign benefitting the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence Foundation (VSPCRF).
Presented by Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges, in collaboration with the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion, the sixth edition of this campaign is running well. Over 2,200 poinsettias were already reserved by Friday. Less than 500 plants are left for those who wish to su
pport the Foundation and ensure access to quality end of life care provided by the dedicated team of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence free of charge to local families.
Over 650 volunteer hours to support the Foundation
Between the volunteers and the Centre Jardin Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac team which lends its greenhouse and shares its botanical expertise during an intense delivery week, over 650 hours are volunteered to turn these simple plants into a beautiful gift to brighten your home or office for the Holidays.
Gilles Hébert and his spouse Marie Caron, the two volunteers who have been spearheading this campaign since its very beginning, invites those who have not yet reserved a poinsettia to do so quickly by either calling or coming to the Centre Jardin Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac before Thursday. “We think we will run out of plants again this year because we already set a record last Friday with reservations!” said the proud volunteer couple.
For every $25 donation or more, the Foundation will give you a poinsettia and a donation receipt. To reserve your poinsettias before the stock depletes, call Marie-Kim Beauchamp at 514-771-0063 or write to poinsettias@mspvs.org and provide the following information:
- Name
- Mailing address
- Phone number
- Number of poinsettias you wish to reserve
Those who reserve five plants or more will receive them by December 2nd thanks to our dedicated volunteers. In all other cases, the poinsettias can be picked-up at Centre Jardin Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac located at 999, avenue St-Charles, Vaudreuil-Dorion until December 1st.
