It looks like Carey Price is going nowhere. Last Wednesday, the Kraken grabbed 22-year-old Cale Fleury in the expansion draft.
He was chosen in the 3rd round, and was 87th overall in the entry draft. He came onto the game in the 2018 – 2019 season, managing 9 goals and 14 assists with Laval’s Rocket.
The following year, he managed more than a pitcher of coffee in the big space, managing 41 games with the Montreal Canadiens. However, in the most recent season, an oversupply of defense men has had him relegated to the AHL. In his last 22 games with the Rocket, he managed 6 assists.
This puts to rest claims that Price would be grabbed by the Kraken. Although he wasn’t on the protected list, his large contract and potentially serious injury may have kept the Kraken off.
