It is out with in old in with the new across Quebec but not on the West Island as the Liberal party maintain their strong hold. François Legault will lead a Coalition Avenir Québec majority government while Liberals Greg Kelley, Monsef Derraji and Carlos Leitão were elected on the West Island.
The right-of-centre CAQ was co-founded by 2011. Leader François Legault favours lower taxes and smaller government.
