Calling West Island Class of 2020 Valedictorians. There are many heartwrenching aspects of having to respect physical distancing measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many grandparents haven’t hugged their grandbabies in months, weddings have been postponed indefinitely, and students ended their school year without the usual fanfare. Instead, graduating students were left with a big question mark.
While all of this pales in comparison to those who have contracted the disease, lost a loved one to it or are fighting on the frontlines, it still hurts, particularly if it is your grad year. More so if you worked extra hard and are class valedictorian.
That is why the West Island Blog wants to give you a platform to voice the words that are in your heart. We will be hosting a series of videos on our Facebook page where you will be able to share the valedictorian speech with your family, peers…and all of our members! We want you to get excited about your accomplishments because we are proud of you. Not only for graduating but for graduating in a pandemic.
Please prepare a 2 minute video with the name of your school and your grad class and we will get that posted for all to see!
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can get the ball rolling!
