Tuesday marked the commencement of the covert operation, detectives on site confirmed. The investigation’s prime focus seemed to centre around a particular field.

Throughout the day, the police personnel were observed excavating a substantial pit, meticulously marked with numerous yellow flags indicating distinct areas of interest, and left untouched thereafter. Items wrapped in a tarp were seen being ferried away from the search location. Although it was later clarified that they were unable to unearth any significant findings on the first day, and were merely carting back their equipment.

The current occupants of the property have been cooperative and compliant with the investigative procedure, according to the officers. The police have also emphasized that these homeowners hold “no connection” to the decades-old case in question.
