The Caisse Populaire Desjardins Sainte-Geneviève de Pierrefonds made a generous donation of $ 20,000 to the Angelman Respite Center in Pierrefonds.
The Angelman Center provides respite for families of children, teens and adults who have an intellectual disability or autism.
Respite services allows a well-deserved break to parents while providing participants with adapted programming and many opportunities for socialization and stimulation.
The Caisse Pierrefonds grant will fund specialized equipment for the Sensory Room. Multisensory environments are proven to be of great benefit to special needs individuals, promoting relaxation, communication and learning opportunities. The Angelman Foundation operates the Center, in collaboration with WIAIH. The Foundation is grateful for the donation, seeing the community’s involvement as vital to it’s mission.
