Caesars Entertainment has reached a deal with Fiesta Bowl to provide fantasy and sports betting services. This is the first deal a gaming company is signing with a college bowl game.
Though the terms of the deal are yet to be disclosed, it is expected to be a multi-year partnership that Caesars signs with Arizona-based Fiesta Bowl.
The Fiesta Bowl is the second deal Caesars has announced this month in Arizona. The casino operator has already partnered with Major League Baseball team Diamondback to launch sports wagering at Chase Field on 9th September.
Fiesta Bowl consists of six games, played every New Year at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The venue is also home to NFL’s Arizona Cardinals.
As part of the deal, Caesars get the right to provide betting services at the Fiesta Bowl, held every year in Arizona.
Caesars recently closed other deals, including the acquisition of William Hill for a staggering cost of $3.9 billion. Caesar has also signed other deals meant to boost its market share.
Earlier this month, Caesar signed a deal with Superdome, a New Orleans land-based casino and also with NFL’s Houston Texans, though sports betting is still illegal in Texas.
