Bruno Mars will kick off his fourth New Year’s Eve celebration at the Dolby Live at Park MGM, where the pop sensation has maintained a residency since the resort, previously known as the Monte Carlo, rebranded in 2016. Speculation is swirling around the release of Mars’ upcoming single, “Die With a Smile,” which is said to feature Lady Gaga. Mars’ residency resumes on Aug. 28, with additional performances scheduled for Dec. 18, 20, 21, 27, 30, and 31. Tickets for these new shows will be available starting Friday, Aug. 16, via ticketmaster.com.
On Wednesday, sideshows were announced for the upcoming When We Were Young Festival, a significant event in the emo and punk rock scene, set to be headlined by My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, and a slew of 50 other acts on Oct. 19 and 20 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. The tradition of sideshows began when high winds led to the cancellation of the festival’s opening day in 2022. Many bands opted to perform free shows for festival-goers holding tickets for the canceled event.
This year, sideshows will include A Day To Remember at the BleauLive Theater at the Fontainebleau and Cobra Starship with 3OH!3 and Millionaires at the Brooklyn Bowl on Thursday, Oct. 17. The next day, Friday, Oct. 18, offers performances by Neck Deep with The Home Team and Super American at AREA15, Simple Plan and Boys Like Girls with Madina Lake at the Brooklyn Bowl, and The Used and Taking Back Sunday with S. Dunes and Taylor Acorn at the BleauLive Theater. Artist fans and festival ticketholders will have access to a sideshow presale starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14, followed by presales for Live Nation, Ticketmaster, and venue customers beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15. General public sales launch at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix will feature headlining performances by Ludacris, Alesso, and OneRepublic at the Sphere Stage in the T-Mobile Zone, situated beneath the world’s largest spherical venue. OneRepublic kicks off the festivities on Thursday, followed by Alesso on Friday, with Ludacris taking the stage on Saturday, the night of the race. Access to these performances is exclusive to fans who can afford the “ticketed experience” in the T-Mobile Zone grandstand, with these three-day seats priced at $2,366.50 each. The package includes food, water, and soft drinks.
Machine Gun Kelly discovered the hard way that what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in your bank account. While performing at Allegiant Stadium on Aug. 8 with Jelly Roll, during the opening set for country star Morgan Wallen, Kelly divulged his misfortune to the crowd of 65,000, saying, “I lost $50,000 on the blackjack table tonight. I need you all to go stream ‘Lonely Road’ and make that money back.”
