Fans of Bruno Mars were thrilled this week when the Grammy-winning artist introduced his partner for the new single “Die With a Smile” during his sold-out show at Dolby Live. The audience was in for a double treat as Mars and his special guest performed the ballad twice during the encore. Released on August 16, “Die with a Smile” has already made an impressive debut, landing at No. 3 on the Billboard singles chart.
The excitement peaked when Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga took to the stage at Park MGM, captivating the crowd with a stellar duet performance of their new single. The chemistry between the two chart-toppers was electric, making for a memorable evening for all who attended.
Meanwhile, tickets went on sale today for Life is Beautiful’s unexpected offering this year—a scaled-down festival dubbed A Big Beautiful Block Party. Unlike the sprawling event that has traditionally taken over 18 city blocks along East Fremont Street for the past 11 years, this year’s event will be significantly smaller, taking place in a parking lot behind the Plaza Hotel on Friday and Saturday, September 27-28.
The lineup for A Big Beautiful Block Party features an eclectic mix of artists, headlined by French electronic duo Justice, South Korean DJ Peggy Gou, English DJ Jamie XX, British dance band Jungle, pianist James Blake, and American rock band LCD Soundsystem. The announcement has sparked a range of reactions, with some festival-goers admitting they were unfamiliar with many of the acts, except for big names like LCD Soundsystem, Justice, and Jungle. Tickets and VIP passes start at $178 each and are available through StubHub.
In an interesting twist of sentiment, Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin recently shared in an interview with Audacy Check In that seeing U2’s epic performance at the Sphere was so overwhelming, it deterred him from wanting to perform at the venue. “I’m a big, big U2 fan,” Martin expressed. “It was among the best things I’ve ever seen them do. It took me to this place of being a total fan again. It made me so inspired, but it also made me swear to not play the Sphere for a long time because they nailed it, and I don’t want to compete with that!”
Despite his reservations about the Sphere, Martin continues to make headlines, as he has been added to the star-studded lineup for the IHeartRadio Music Festival, taking place at the T-Mobile Arena on September 20-21. Joining him will be artists like A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd, Gwen Stefani, Dua Lipa, the Black Crowes, New Kids on the Block, Keith Urban, Halsey, Doja Cat, Camila Cabello, Hozier, Paramore, Shaboozey, Thomas Rhett, Big Sean, and Victoria Monét. Ryan Seacrest will return to host the annual music celebration. Tickets for the festival are on sale now.
