I am a girl with favourites, and I tend to stay loyal to them. This little piece of  heaven is no exception. I fell upon Bistro A Vino several years ago when some friends suggested it. There was only one location in

Sainte-Adèle at the time. I knew the minute I sat down it was for me. The service was second to none. The Italian cuisine is out of this world.

I now frequent the location in Saint-Sauveur. The decor is modern, white and open. The French doors are often open onto the terrace that seats about 20, letting those inside feel as though they are eating on the terrace.

The food? Let me put it this way, if I had one choice with one meal left to eat forever, I would choose this place. It is that good. A complementary bruschetta arrives when are seated. I was served a melange of tomatoes on a rice cracker to accommodate my gluten sensitivity. If you have food sensitivities let them know, they work around them with ease.

I ordered a gluten free pasta served with a veal meat sauce. My BFF Annalisa had the macaroni and cheese. It is not the Kraft kind, not that I don’t love the Kraft kind, but this was delicious and creamy. Very filling.

I intentionally only ate half of my pasta dish so I could have enough room for dessert. I always have the lemon tart. I dream of it. Particularly the whipped meringue on the top. Annalisa had “La crème brûlée au caramel salé”, sounds so much better in French. She loved it.

If you are heading up north and need that special spot for dinner, this is the place. Enjoy!!
