Rhonda’s Best of The West -November 2018

November doesn’t only bring colder temperatures and shorter days, it also brings lots of opportunities to give back to our community. Fundraisers, food drives and the CN Holiday Train can all be found in our Best of The West for this month.

Our Community Rocks Fundraiser 

Join Caisses Desjardins West Island for great eats, cool music, a huge kids game zone and all the space you need to chill out, play on, give back and celebrate with your friends, family and neighbours.  3 DAYS. 3 THEMES. 1 AMAZING CELEBRATION!

When: November 2, 3 and 4, 2018

On Sunday, November 4th they will be at Provigo Le Marché Kirkland from 9 am to 4 pm to receive non-perishable items for those in need in our community. 

The “Neighbours for Neighbours Food Drive” is meant to include and unite everyone in our community to help those less fortunate. Donations made will be divided between On Rock, West Island Assistance Fund, West Island Mission, St. Anne’s Food Bank and John Abbott College Food Bank.

Beauty Meets the Beast Cocktail Dînatoire Fundraiser

Come enjoy an evening of delicious food, fun and festivities (raffle, silent auction & more) in the cool and inviting setting that is La Belle et La Boeuf. The proceeds of this popular event will help the West Island Cancer Wellness Centre continue to offer its services free of charge to anyone living with cancer.

Exposcience at Stewart Hall Pointe-Claire

The 35th edition of Exposcience, which will take place on Saturday, November 10 and Sunday, November 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre. This interactive science exhibition presented in collaboration with Concordia University aims to demystify science and teach the general public. Admission is free.
