It’s a three-peat for “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.” The Tim Burton legacy sequel to his 1988 horror comedy has topped the North American box office charts for the third consecutive weekend, bringing in $26 million in ticket sales, according to studio estimates on Sunday.

The film narrowly outperformed the animated newcomer “Transformers: One,” which garnered $25 million. This origin story of Optimus Prime, featuring voices from Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, and Scarlett Johansson, achieved a global total of $39 million.

A Warner Bros. release, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” sees Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder reprising their iconic roles. Over its three-week run, the film has amassed more than $226 million domestically, buoyed by a massive $110 million opening weekend—the third-best of the year—and a second weekend return of $51.6 million. Its global earnings now stand at $329.8 million.

Securing third place was the James McAvoy-led horror “Speak No Evil,” which earned $5.9 million in its second week, bringing its total to $21.5 million.

Despite the strong performance of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” the box office is currently experiencing a lull that is anticipated to end with the release of “Joker: Folie à Deux” on October 4.

“September has been somewhat quiet, with approximately 47% of the revenue generated by this single film,” noted Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst for Comscore. “Fortunately, October is poised to deliver some exciting blockbusters.”

In its ninth weekend, “Deadpool & Wolverine,” the year’s second-highest grosser, remained in the top 5, earning an additional $3.9 million for a domestic total of $627 million, second only to Pixar’s “Inside Out 2.”

“The Substance,” a body horror film directed by Coralie Fargeat and starring Demi Moore, made a notable entrance with $3.1 million from limited screens in its first weekend, landing in sixth place.

The Daily Wire film “Am I Racist?”, where conservative columnist Matt Walsh goes undercover as a “DEI trainee,” remained in the top 10 after finishing fourth last week, earning $2.9 million for a seventh-place showing and a two-week total of $9 million.

Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Comscore, are as follows:

  1. “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” $26 million.
  2. “Transformers One,” $25 million.
  3. “Speak No Evil,” $5.9 million.
