The city of Pointe-Claire has installed urban beehives on the roof of their public library.

The beehives initiative has been around since 2017 and has produced more than 150 jars of honey. This year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the honey was donated to the West Island Mission organization.

The West Island Blog spoke with Pointe-Claire Mayor John Belvedere and the main beekeeper at the library to learn more about this project.
