In a final vote at Monday night’s public meeting, Beaconsfield city council unanimously voted for Construction Jean Houde to build 22 townhouse units on Beaurepaire drive where there once stood an Esso gas station. The project underwent minor modifications and was passed in its second draft.
An animated public consultation took place in December with residents expressing concerns about traffic, safety, densification and sound. A traffic study was conducted by the city as well as a commitment to address any contamination that remained after the zoning change to residential use.
