There are limited tickets available for the second annual event Bags to Riches for West Island Community Shares (WICS). Bags to Riches will take place on Tuesday, June 9, at Marlowe’s on St-Jean boulevard from 5:30 pm to 9 pm.
Dahlila Ricci of ShePlansIt.com, the event planner for the occasion was looking for a way to give back when her friend Tara Upton, long time volunteer and supporter of WICS, came up with the idea of auctioning off handbags last year and it was a great success raising more than $5,000 for local charities.
“I wanted women to have a reason to come out after putting in a full day,” Ricci explained in an interview with The Suburban, ”I like to get dressed up and wanted to give people a chance to put on some heals, have some fun all the while giving back to a great cause like WICS.”
With over 60 purses on the silent auction block, the evening promises to be one of excitement. There will be cocktails, food, and firemen who will be selling raffle tickets for some interesting prizes. All proceeds will be donated to West Island Community Shares.
Brands such as Marc Jaobs, Coach, m0851, Pragai Couture,WANT, Mackage, Christian Dior, and more.
The evening makes for a great night out with the girls. All for a great cause.
Ticket price is $45.00 with an additional administration fee of $3.69 and must be purchased in advance via EventBrite. Space is limited!
