According to Environment Canada we can expect Mother Nature to remain focused on reminding us who is really in charge. Snowfall amounts of 20 to 40 centimeters and blowing snow are expected starting Tuesday.

A powerful storm will rail across Southwestern Quebec. Snow will gradually begin late Tuesday afternoon and will rapidly intensify in the evening. Heavy precipitation will continue through to Wednesday.

Total snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 centimeters, but some regions in the St Lawrence Valley, between Montreal and Montmagny, as well as the Outaouais and Témiscamingue, could see as much as 30 and 40 centimeters. Also, strong winds combined with snow may significantly reduce visibilities in blowing snow.

Environment Canada suggests avoiding travel if possible. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility.
