Janet Mitchell was plunged from a deep slumber into a heart-pounding reality, one Wednesday night, when the resounding thud outside her residence echoed within the walls. Three figures had gathered on her front porch at the unholy hour, trying in vain to force entry into her sanctuary, their ominous silhouettes outlined by the dim glow of the street lights.
One miscreant, boldly brandishing an unidentified object, audaciously unveiled his intentions, prompting Janet to retreat hastily from the window and place an immediate call to the police. However, by the time law enforcement arrived, the culprits had slipped away, leaving behind only a vandalized door and an unsettled inhabitant.
A disquieting review of Mitchell’s surveillance footage corroborated her chilling experience. The trio’s relentless attempt to bust open the door and a shadowy hint of a possible weapon in the possession of one, oozed menace. More disturbingly, the workers repairing her damaged door later uncovered a stray bullet, triggering fear that the door-breaker was armed.
Mounting dread saw Janet bolster her home security with additional surveillance cameras and new locks. The unsettling event was an unexpected expense, with a bill of approximately $2000 for a replacement door.
Struggling to comprehend the attack, Janet muttered, “I’ve got nothing for them, my house is unassuming, I have an older car, there’s nothing out front or even out back that screams, ‘Hey, this would be a great target for a break-in.'”
In a bid to corner the culprits, Janet released stills from her surveillance footage on social media – an effort that has invoked 600 shares and counting. Hope clings to her thoughts, tempered by the prospect of uncovering the identity of her terrorizers.
The Campbell River Mounties have solicited public collaboration in hunting down the trio. All three were masked, obscuring their features, but vital descriptors have been shared. Suspect 1 is a Caucasian male with extended sideburns, scruffy facial hair and a medium build, expected to be between 20 and 35 years old. Suspect 2 is a slender to athletically built female, presumed to be between 18 and 28 years old, sporting possible red or purple hair highlights. Suspect 3 is a Caucasian male with a medium to athletic frame.
