According to Montreal police, an INKAS® armoured truck with close to $1 million, was robbed Wednesday night in the parking lot of the Galeries des Sources shopping center in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.

Thieves took advantage of the absence of INKAS conveyors to steal the contents of the truck parked at the corner of boulevards Sources and Brunswick. No one was hurt.

“The sum of the theft is considerable,” said Véronique Dubuc, spokesperson for the Police Department of the City of Montreal (SPVM) without giving more details.

A security perimeter has been erected to allow Major Crime Investigators and Forensic Identification Technicians to do their work.
