AMCAL and the Rotary Club of Montreal-Lakeshore have teamed up to create a Youth Leadership Award. AMCAL nominated a teen aged between 12 and 20 years old that has gone through one of the programs at AMCAL and demonstrated leadership. The Rotary Club of Montreal-Lakeshore chose the recipient who will receive a plaque, a certificate, and $100.
The first recipient is Victoria Marcoux, recent graduate of AMCAL Family Services’ Residential Program.

“I was struggling with my family and I was also struggling with drugs to try and suppress my emotions. That got me into a lot of trouble at the end of the day. And I was no longer communicating with my parents and completely avoiding a lot of other things I should have been doing.”, Victoria explains how she initially ended up at AMCAL.
Delia Noel, Residential and Family Work Coordinator at AMCAL Family Services said, “Victoria runs this program. She put it together; she had to apply for a grant, a really fantastic effort on her part, very professional. We are very proud of Victoria.”
