Action Jeunesse de l’Ouest-de-l’île (AJOI) wishes you a wonderful holiday season and a new year filled with peace and happiness.

AJOI’s mission is to establish and maintain street outreach services to youth aged 12 to 25 years old in the West Island. The outreascreen-shot-2016-12-02-at-2-20-46-pmch worker builds a trust link with the youth in their environment. With respect and no judgement, the outreach team help youth by listening and supporting them through their time of need and at their own pace. Our proactive workers collaborate with neighbouring community organizations to optimize services for youth through personalized referrals.

Social and material deprivations are a hidden reality that 18% of 0 to 34 year olds face every day in the West Island. In 2016, AJOI helped thousands of youth in difficulty and is ready to overcome the challenges that 2017 will bring.

Last but not least, AJOI would like to thank all of its partners for the precious and effective collaboration shown throughout the year. Our joint efforts truly make a difference in the lives of at risk youth and represent the fabric of our strengths as a community. This is what makes the West Island such a beautiful place to live in.

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

Sincerely yours,
