The company will donate $21,370 worth of clothes, shoes and accessories to this West Island organization

Le Chateau of Montreal honoured the spirit of giving this past holiday season with a pledge to help local charities. From December 26th to 31st, for every dollar sold in any LE CHÂTEAU Outlet store across Montreal, as well as from the Le Chateau outlet website,  the Company pledged to donate an equal amount of clothing, shoes and accessories to charitable organizations in Canada. After all the sales were counted, this amounted to an impressive $282,182 to benefit various organizations in Canada.

As a result, LE CHÂTEAU of Montreal is proud to be donating $21,370 to those who need it most at AJOI . This includes a donation of 20 warm parkas to the volunteer team, who are often working outdoors during the winter season. AJOI aims to improve the quality of life of young people and break the denial of poverty of the West Island. One of their objectives is to patrol the streets, parks, green spaces, and other public areas to meet and build links with the youth. This type of intervention helps build a sense of trust between the youth and the workers.

In addition to AJOI, eight other charities will benefit from this initiative, including women in need at West Island Women’s Shelter, Le Chaînon, La Maison Bleue, as well as those in need at Dans la Rue, Sun Youth and The Old Brewery Mission, the Service d’intégration à la collectivité (SIC) and the United Way. These organizations are well known for the range of programs they offer to get people on the path to security and independence. For many, these organizations are a safe haven and the support offered by them is essential to their well-being.

Thank you to all LE CHÂTEAU Outlet store shoppers and staff who helped make a difference this holiday season, aiding in this donation to those in the West Island community. This donation will benefit many young people living in this area of Montreal.
