Beaconsfield residents Brandan Ranaldi and Justin Szekely started building when they were ten years old. They were well-matched friends who would rather work on projects outdoors than play video games. The two have turned those projects into a successful summer career of deck building. This summer Ace of Decks will employ 12 west island students.

“We treat each project as if it were in our own home – and our clients notice,” Justin explained. “We go the extra mile for our clients to make sure they’re satisfied. Most of our work comes from referrals, the trust and credibility that come with great West Island Blog, West Island news, Rhonda Massad, Beaconsfield, Ace of Decks, Brandon Ranaldi , Justin Szekelywork is especially important in our business.”

The boys saw their summer days booked to capacity in 2016, so they have expanded both their crews and equipment to take on more jobs during the 2017 season.

Everyone at Ace of Decks understands the base philosophy and knows how important the details are.

“Every Ace of Decks team member shows up to work each day wearing a shirt that says ACE IT across the chest,” Brandan explained. “This keeps us motivated and aligned with our vision so that we’re all on the same page when it comes to exceeding expectations.”

Brandan believes that a culture of hard work and pride in ensuring the job is done right, has brought them exponential growth.

“What sets us apart from our competition and has been a big part of our rapid growth, is our passion– and our clients notice,” he said. “We go the extra mile to make sure they’re satisfied.”

They work with a range of material like composite, Brazilian walnut, thermory, brown-treated wood and cedar.

“Working with Ace of Decks was one of our best renovation experiences. They created a backyard oasis that entices us to use our backyard far more than we used to, and at an affordable price. These guys are young and energetic. They are constantly researching new products and new ideas, which gives them an edge over people who have been doing the same thing for years. I have no problem in recommending Brandan & Justin from Ace of Decks.”

Being full time students has put the boys to the test when it comes to balancing school and work, but they love the challenge as it forces them to stay organized. Next fall, Brandan will begin studying Industrial Engineering at Concordia and Justin will be starting in Civil Engineering at McGill.
