The locals reported the fire on Thursday, just after 11 a.m. At that time, the Yellowknife fire department received a call, immediately sending one of their units to remedy the situation. The fire crew arrived on the scene around noon, and Municipal Enforcement Division joined them.
Although no injuries were reported, the public is advised to avoid the area and use the alternate route at least for now. For now, only emergency vehicles are allowed to pass through there.
According to the recent report, it seems that Municipal Enforcement Division is not investigating the fire yet.
Further updates on the fire will be released in the next couple of days.
