Eye witness accounts describe absolute chaos outside a poling station in Montreal after a vehicle hit 8 people last Monday.
The incident took place outside Sunshine Academy, at about 5 pm.
A police report notes that a number of people who were their made multiple 911 calls, and based on preliminary investigation, the incident was accidental.
The report also said that the driver appears to have lost control of the car, which hit four men, three women and a child aged 8.
The victims did not sustain life-threatening injuries, police spokesperson Caroline Chevrefils stated.
The driver, a 51-year-old woman, had come to the polling centre to cast her vote. She was taken into custody for questioning.
