2018 West Island Saint-Jean-Baptiste Celebrations


Wondering what your city or borough is doing to celebrate ” la Fête Nationale du Québec”? Here are 5 places to enjoy everything from face painting, to giant boardgames, to Quebec’s pride France Jalbert, to some amazing St-Jean fireworks displays.



Animation and activities, themed photo booth, street performers, photo rally, giant boardgames, temporary tattoos, distribution of mini flags and balloons.

When: Saturday, June 23rd from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Many outdoor activities for children, such as arts and crafts, face painting, art mural, inflatable games and more. Do not miss our shows on stage including traditional folk music, a show for children and a musical performance by Palmarès (Masterpiece).

Come and enjoy the family area where makeup, temporary tattoo, hand wax workshop and inflatable structures are available. Enjoy some dance shows and animation and then stick around for the main show by none other than Laurence Jalbert.

Starting at 2 p.m., children can enjoy a wide variety of activities planned for them, including inflatable structures, face painting, and circus workshops. The celebrations continue with music, circus, dance, and hula-hoop performances for all ages. Everyone is invited to take part in a Zumba activity, a dance workout set to lively music, then discover or rediscover their favourite shops in the Village. Fireworks begin at 10:00 PM.

Come and celebrate our Fête Nationale with Jérôme Couture, an energetic and talented artist, and the charismatic and humorous hypnotists “Les SomniFrères”. There will also be a performance of traditional Quebec music, family shows, inflatable games, roaming entertainment, airbrush tattoos, and awesome fireworks to end the night. Lots of fun for the entire family!
