The luxurious Venetian Resort Las Vegas has embarked on a comprehensive renovation journey – a $188 million project aimed at elevating its Convention Center. The design wizardry underlying this ambitious makeover has been entrusted to the reputable Las Vegas design firm, Woogmaster Studio, who are concurrently enhancing the resort’s pool complex.
The Venetian Convention Center, a prestigious name known to be the third-largest in the U.S – following only the Las Vegas Convention Center and Chicago’s McCormick Place – is ready to redefine its legacy. The transformation of the Venetian Expo and Convention Center (formerly known as Sands Expo) will introduce an array of ultramodern facilities. Among these, cutting-edge technology, sophisticated lounge-style meeting spaces, and an elegant color scheme radiating a combination of cream, white, and platinum make for the top highlights.
As Patrick Nichols, Venetian’s esteemed President and CEO deftly summed up, “The project is a robust and calculated gamble to renovate a convention center that hosts an exhaustive roster of events throughout the year. But our resolute promise is to offer our guests an unrivaled, top-tier experience.”
An integral part of the Center’s revamp includes the addition of exclusive lounges. Inspired by the Venetian aesthetic of the 1930s, the lounges will gleam with elements of wood, marble, and velvet, serving as ideal venues for invitation-only events. Further enhancing the Center’s plush appearance, new Murano glass chandeliers and sleek brass sconces will grace the complex, harmonized by state-of-the-art digital screens and other audio-visual upgrades.
As per Nichols, “The forthcoming finishes and amenities are a reflection of our valued customers’ feedback. They epitomize a new era of Venetian Meetings and will reinforce our prominent position within the industry.”
The renovation is planned to unfold over phases between 2024 and 2026, constituting a segment of a larger scale $1 billion capital investment initiated by Vici Properties, the proprietor of the Strip resort, in partnership with Apollo Global Management, the operational backbone.
