Montreal fire department hasn’t fully determined the number of people who will be able to return to their homes after an overnight fire. People had to be evacuated from 149 apartments in the western suburb of Dollard-des-Ormeaux.
The fire was reported before 9 p.m. on Saturday and quickly spread to two residential buildings. One minor injury was reported that resulted from smoke inhalation.
Carole Du Sault, a spokesperson for the Red Cross, says that the organization is helping 75 families- who have nowhere to go. They are providing clothes and food to those in need.
